Roy Mustang

Roy Mustang (ロイ・マスタング, Roi Masutangu), the "Flame Alchemist", is, when first introduced in the story, a Lieutenant Colonel, but when Ed and Al actually meet him he is a Colonel, and at the end of the story he was promoted to Brigadier General for the State Military. He has hopes of becoming the leader of Amestris, and uses his many subordinates to further him along this path. Although he is loyal to the military, after the death of his best friend, Maes Hughes, he starts looking for his murderer even though he would destroy the military. Toru Okawa voices him in Japanese, and Travis Willingham in English.
